At Olswanger Literary we champion debut authors and believe that, with or without a platform
or previous accolades, the writers we represent have worthy, engaging
stories to share.
Established in 2014, our goal is to build collaborative, lasting relationships
with our clients. As agents based around the world, we want to amplify
diverse voices and contribute to a rich, inclusive literary world.
We handle audio, foreign, and performance rights
for our clients' books.
Anna's goal is to help her clients create beautiful books, both visually and textually,
and to find the best publishing home for each book. She represents picture
books and graphic novels and seeks out author-illustrators who enjoy
the challenge of revising, and who maintain perseverance in the
wake of long silences from editors.
Annie is seeking adult literary, upmarket, and commercial fiction in the following
areas: contemporary fiction, general fiction, women's fiction, sharp romantic
comedy, psychological thrillers/suspense, mystery, and light/clever horror.
She welcomes diverse narratives, including but not limited to LGBTQ+
and underrepresented ethnicities/cultures.
Daniel is seeking fantasy across all subgenres, dark academia, retellings, and
historical fiction. She is particularly interested in stories with romantic
elements, unique settings, and high stakes. She is drawn to
vulnerable protagonists who discover their strength and
finds morally gray characters compelling. For
non-fiction, she's drawn to historical
narratives and all things esoteric.
Jared is looking for fiction across a variety of genres, as well as platformed
nonfiction. He loves narratives that highlight relationships and that
encourage him to think about the world in a new way. Bold and
adventurous styles of writing will always grab his attention.
Jonathan is building his list in speculative fiction, including magical realism, epic/
high fantasy, sci-fi, and mystery, thriller, romance, and historical fiction.
For nonfiction, he is reviewing history, popular culture, and
spirituality/esoterica. He is prioritizing writers from minority
groups, particularlyLatino/ Hispanic, LGBT+,
Asian American, and African American.
Kimberly is seeking mystery, thriller, suspense, horror, romance, fantasy,
romantasy, and science fiction. She is drawn to commercial writing with
big plots, unique hooks, and high stakes. In the nonfiction space, she
is looking for fresh bold voices who are experts in their topics and
who have cultivated a focused and engaging platform.
Madison is looking for stories with romanticized worlds and literary merit.
She’d love to indulge in magical realism, low fantasies, high fantasies,
and romantasies with whimsical worlds and undeniable chemistry.
Yael loves a good story—especially if it’s nonfiction, speculative fiction, Jewish, or
laugh-out-loud funny. She’s drawn to manuscripts with a classic hero’s
journey at the core, told with heart, grit, and a spark of something
fresh. If it brings people together across cultures, even better.
